I have this same issue. Lighting Node Core that came with QL120's is not recognized when plugged into Commander Pro. Is recognized when plugged direct into mobo (Asus Crosshair VIII X570). I have the spare USB port on the mobo to use, but it bugs me that the onboard ports of the $75 controller don't work as they should. Paging Corsair support

There has been a definite move away from DC fans in the RGB era. You still can fetch the coolant temp data through the Commander/CUE if you keep the 3 radiator fans on the Commander Pro. Use a custom curve, change the sensor choice to H150i XT Temp, and then click the concave shape tool (2nd from left).
I'm having issues with the Commander Pro's RGB channels. One has the fan hub plugged into it, which hosts four LL fans. The other RGB channel has a string of three Corsair RGB light strips connected. But they aren't being detected by iCUE. I upgraded the Commander Pro to the latest firmware and am running the latest version of iCUE software.
