Despite a very rough beginning and some design quirks, I am currently enjoying Blood Dragon a lot. So much that I now consider giving the rest of the series a shot. However, from what I understand, Blood Dragon is a heavily-simplified version of Far Cry 3, which in turn is very similar to Far Cry 2. So how does Blood Dragon compare to FC2? Thanks in advance!

Use of real world tracks are relevant and enhance the best parts of the game. Enemy guards say some funny stuff, including one making reference to "getting some tribal tattoos and saving my stoner friends" Combat is very similar to Far Cry 3, open for stealth or run and gun. The game does seem to reward the running and gunning more, however.
