High pressure thudding noise coming out a leak somewhere? Or worst case scenario for me is the DMF or crankshaft pulleys, or it can be bent air valves. The garage will test for this with a pressure/compression test. Haven't taken the car for a spin and The car made the noises when it was idle in the garage.

If it were the turbo, you'd hear the grinding the whole time the turbo is spinning not only during acceleration. If not the sound symposer, it's definitely something leaking or vibrating in the induction path.
Turbo failure?? - MoonMonkey : Been having engine management problems with my 2004 Mondeo TDCi. After lots of investigations, have finally been told it needs a new turbo. This is obviousaly a costly repair! Its been giving out code P2263 - "Unspecified turbo boost pressure problem, mechanical"
